Seamless Summer Schedule
Mark down the big events. Get out your calendar and mark down vacations, camp dates, birthday parties and any other events you know of ahead of time. That way, you’ll never end up surprised or scrambling at the last minute. |
|
Think of what you want to accomplish. Want to plant a new garden? Visit the zoo with the kids? Write out two lists—one with your personal goals and another with your family goals. Then try to prioritize them.

Set dates. Using a different color than the one you used to mark down the big events, write the top goals you’ve chosen into your calendar. Remember that these dates are set loosely, and if things change, roll with it! Don’t pressure yourself to meet all the deadlines. |
|
| Make a daily schedule. Once you have overall goals, you can start thinking of what you want get done each day. Put up dry erase chalk boards in your kids’ rooms and every morning write in that day’s schedule with them so they can see their upcoming tasks and times to complete them. Include items like cleaning their rooms and making the bed, but also fun stuff like arts and crafts for the day. |
