A:  No.  Only DIP-IT® Food & Beverage Stain Remover should be used to clean your automatic drip coffeemaker.

Q:  Why is my DIP-IT® Food & Beverage Stain Remover powder caked in the box?

A:   Granular products like DIP-IT® Food & Beverage Stain Remover tend to pick up moisture and can become lumpy or caked.  To help prevent problems like this from happening, DIP-IT® is packaged with a moisture-resistant package.  When opening a DIP-IT® package, do it very carefully and always close the pour spout after each use.  Measure the amount to be used away from hot/steaming water so moisture is not absorbed.  Finally, store the product in a cool, dry place.

Q:  Why is my coffee pot discolored?

A:  Water will discolor aluminum. (To remove the discoloration, clean and polish the interior of the percolator with aluminum cleaner – try BRASSO® Metal Polish – and then clean with soap and water before using.) Recognizing this problem, there is an ingredient in DIP-IT® Automatic Drip Coffeemaker Cleaner to protect metal while the solution is cleaning the coffeemaker.  When you use the correct amount of DIP-IT® for cleaning as recommended on the package, your coffeemaker is protected.  For correct measurement of cleaning products as well as cooking ingredients, it is important to use standard measuring utensils rather than table utensils.
